One-Day Amateur Radio

The Reno Nevada North Stake is holding a one-day Amateur Radio class to assist anyone wanting to obtain an Amateur Radio Licence.
This class will be held Saturday June 6 from 9:00 to 4:00 at the Lemmon Valley Building, 8080 Lemmon Valley Dr. This class covers the topics found on the Technician Class Amateur Radio Test. There is no charge for the class. If you would like to purchase the suggested book for the class, it is $30 on amazon.
There is a testing session scheduled on June 20 for those taking the test. The testing fee is $15 and once you pass, the cost for a ten year licence is $35.
The test pool will change July 1. If you are not going to be available to test on June 20, I recommend you wait for a future class that will cover the new test. I intend to have another class in a couple months that covers the new material.
